The average executive wastes 150 hours a year - almost one month - searching for lost information
Work Spaces
Offices & Workstations
Research shows that you will be less irritable, more productive, distracted less often and able to process information better with an uncluttered and organized home and office. After determining your unique work style, we will develop customized systems to meet your needs so you can easily find things when you need them. Working together, we will sort and clean your workstation, desk drawers and cupboards. By developing one system to manage every action, you will have a higher level of commitment to get things done.
Home Offices
For many, a home office space is essential when working from home, managing household paperwork or completing homework. It can also be a magnet for piles of paper where important documents are routinely lost. If you can’t see your desktop, let’s clean sweep your office! You will be more productive when essential items are at your fingertips. If you are designing a new workspace or refreshing an existing space, we can assist with space planning and furniture selection.
Storage Areas
Well organized supplies cabinets and storage areas will make it easier for team members to find items when they need them and make it obvious when inventory levels are low. Working as part of your team, we will purge all unnecessary items, develop a storage plan, and reorganize the space using suitable containers and clear labelling. When the project is complete, we will provide team orientation so that each team member is familiar with the new system.
Information Management
Paper & Electronic Files
80% of data currently stored on office computers is outdated.
A well organized filing system will save you time, making it easier to find, file and discard information. Working together, we will quickly process paperwork using the File-Act-Toss method. We will teach you how to prioritize action items and, through identifying meaningful categories, we will setup your customized filing system for quick filing and retrieval. Ideally, your computer files will mirror your paper files. After archiving old information, we will structure file directories and develop standardized file naming methods that make sense.
Resource Library
If you can’t find information when you need it, it’s virtually useless.
Not all information belongs in a filing system. A resource library will serve as a central location to store the company’s valuable resources for future reference. We’ll work with your team to identify important resources and develop the best methods for easy storage and retrieval. Resources often include work samples, marketing materials, magazines, books, articles, software, audio/video, etc.
Records Management
80% of papers that we keep are never referred to again.
The goal of records management is to keep information flowing through the organization. Using the Lifecycle of Records, we will develop and document retention guidelines to move information from creation through to destruction. A reliable system will save filing and retrieval time, increase productivity, reduce storage costs and space, simplify decision-making and protect vital records. By working as part of your team, we will develop clear records retention guidelines that incorporate existing policies, legal requirements and staff needs.

Annual Office Clean Up Day
An annual event recommended for any organization. The primary goal of the day is to REDUCE! Cleaning up both paper and electronic records can benefit your office by increasing productivity, eliminating waste and maximizing resources. During this highly focused day, calendars will be cleared of meetings, and staff will show up wearing casual clothes and prepared for physical work. Clean Up Days typically include a 30-minute organizing session with each team member, 2 short group presentations and a team lunch. Upon completion, a report of recommendations will be submitted.
